Here’s a little about me and the books:
These stories are filled with friendship, romance, suspense, holidays, furry friends, nature, art, food, cooking, baking and—did I mention food twice? 🤣 I love food, although I doubt I qualify as a “foodie”. But, I can trace my family back to a bakery in Germany in the 1700s. My great grandfather came to this country and started life in America raising his family above his bakery. I guess I come by my love of baking naturally.
I’ve always enjoyed escaping into story and worked my way through college in a library. I brought home stacks of all kinds of books. It was wonderful! (Perhaps I could’ve been studying more…)
My master’s degree is in math and science education and I have been writing, making art, and teaching for most of my life. Inspired by my tech nerd husband who gardens, and my son who’s blind, I often create brainy characters whose work connects to the arts, technology, or science—people who overcome challenging obstacles, deal with the unexpected, and create the life they want.
My visually impaired son and his friends who are blind, or have other challenges, help me portray individuals with disabilities more accurately. It’s always my intention to be respectful and compassionate.
When I’m not hanging out with stories, making art, or coaching, I’m enjoying the sweet breezes of Florida or hiking in the forests in North Carolina with my bossy dog.
I invite you to take a virtual vacation through stories at the intersection of romance, women’s fiction and suspense.
Empowering stories with a blend of suspense, women’s fiction, and romance.
Make friends with the people in Valencia Cove and enjoy clear waters, dolphins, and shorebirds. Relax at the Tiki bar—but be on the lookout for treasure hunters and other strangers up to no good. Visit the dog rescue or a mysterious mansion full of priceless art.
These stories will keep you turning the pages and forgetting your bedtime.
Enjoy seven books in this series.
Get to know the cousins who operate the charming Sea Star Inn, where people come to forget their troubles and find a second chance. Take a kayak ride on smooth waters. But beware—not everything is as peaceful as it seems. Trouble lurks in the mangroves.
Enjoy five books in this series.
An hour away from Florida’s white sand beaches are horses, cattle, and majestic oaks draped with Spanish Moss. Visit Pine Crossing and get roped into tender family moments, suspense, and romance. The four Pine Crossing Cowboys stories are the first series in the world of Pine Crossing.
Coming soon: Welcome to Pine Crossing a prequel. And the Pine Crossing First Responders series.
